• Regulation (EU) 2024/1028 has applied since 20 May 2026. Where this member state operates a registration scheme, the unit needs a registration number and it must appear on every listing.
• Booking platforms are required to check declared registration numbers against the national Single Digital Entry Point and to report invalid or misused numbers to the authority and to you. A wrong number risks the listing being removed.
• Local rules on night caps, guest registers and tourist tax sit on top of this and vary by city. They are not covered by the EU baseline.

Adopted by the Council of Ministers on 14 July 2026 and now before the Sejm and the Senate. It must pass both chambers and be signed before any of it binds. Once in force it would: Short-stay apartment letting would be classified as an accommodation service, with a hotel service defined as a stay of up to 30 days. Mandatory registration in a Central Register of Tourist Accommodation Facilities (Centralny Wykaz Turystycznych Obiektow Noclegowych), with a unique identification number that must appear in every listing. Mandatory internal house rules per property, covering guest stays, safety and fire, sanitary and building compliance. Administrative fines of up to PLN 50,000 for failing to register or to display the identification number. No commencement date is fixed yet.
